DESCRIPTION:Would you know what to do in an emergency? \nLearn Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED and Stop the Bleed in one hands-on class at the MAAC Foundation. No prior experience is required\, and the CPR and AED training follows American Heart Association guidelines and standards. \nWhat You’ll Learn: \nHeartsaver CPR & AED \n\nHands-on CPR: adults\, child\, infant\nAED Use: adults\, child\, infant\nChoking Response: adults\, child\, infant\n\nFirst Aid \n\nBleeding and bandaging\nStroke\nHeart attack\nFainting\nDiabetes emergencies\nSeizures\nOpioid overdose\nMedical Emergencies\nAnaphylactic Allergy intervention\nBurns\nDrowning response and prevention\n\nStop the Bleed \n\nHow to recognize life-threatening bleeding\nHow to apply pressure\nProper bandaging techniques\nHow to use bleeding control equipment\nWhen and how to use a tourniquet\n\nCertification \nParticipants who successfully complete the required portions of the training will receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification\, along with a Stop the Bleed certificate of participation. \nWhy Take This Class? \nEmergencies can happen anywhere: at home\, at work\, at school\, at a sporting event or in the community.
