DESCRIPTION:DATE & LOCATION\nOctober 03\, 2026 | 0800 – 1700 CT | MAAC Training Center\n4203 Montdale Park Drive\nValparaiso\, IN 46383 \nCOURSE DESCRIPTION\nThe Homemade Explosives: Awareness\, Recognition\, and Response course is designed to provide\nemergency first responders with the skills to recognize and respond to incidents involving Homemade\nExplosives (HME) through lectures and exercises. \nEmergency first responders are presented with information necessary to recognize HME precursors\,\nHME manufacturing indicators\, and HME exposure indicators\, and determine pre-detonation and postdetonation response strategies.\nThroughout this course\, emergency first responders discuss how to implement safe response strategies\nwith recognizing the presence of HME indicators; understanding these response actions is critical to\nmitigating the hazards associated with HME. \nFor full information and to register\, search “20261003” on Acadis Portal \nNew Mexico Tech utilizes a QR code the day of the training\, supplied by the instructors for registration\,\npre/posttests\, and certificates. Students are required to bring a digital device to class for this course. (ie.\ntablet\, laptop computer)
