The District 1 Fire Academy is 24 weeks of initial firefighter training that will include state certifications in Hazardous Material Awareness/Operations, Firefighter I/II and all state required curriculum to function as a firefighter in the state of Indiana. Indiana District 1 Fire Training and the MAAC will be putting on a two-day extrication class focusing on bus operations and Indiana vehicle extrication technician skills.
