Using real-life examples, and case studies of previous patients, students will learn to recognize and treat life-threatening injuries and illnesses including Massive Bleeding, Respiratory problems, Choking, and Cardiac Arrest. After a short lecture/PowerPoint, Hands-on skills will be practiced on our props and state-of-the-art simulator! Learn to control major bleeding, open your dog’s airway, perform CPR, help a choking animal, and recognize bloat/GDV. First aid kits for dogs will also be discussed. Class is limited to 10 students and is designed for ages 14+.
