About the Mental Health Initiative
The MAAC Foundation is committed to supporting the mental health and resiliency of first responders by serving as a trusted conduit for resources, information, and connection. Through the First Responder Mental Health Initiative, we help ensure those who serve our communities have access to the tools and support needed to maintain mental fitness for themselves, their fellow responders, and their families.
While the MAAC Foundation does not operate its own mental health classes or clinical programs, we play a vital role in strengthening the regional network of care. We provide a place for qualified partners to host mental health trainings and programs, work to secure funding to bring resources onsite, connect first responders with licensed clinicians and evidence-based supports, and collaborate with local organizations dedicated to responder well-being. We also educate and communicate with first responders about the full range of mental and behavioral health resources available to them.
We appreciate your continued trust and support as we remain committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of our first responders with clarity, collaboration, and integrity.
