* This class is appropriate for all dog owners and K9 handlers, ages 14+*
Using real-life examples and case studies, students will learn to recognize and treat life-threatening injuries and illnesses including:
-Major Bleeding
-Respiratory problems
-Helping a choking animal
-Bloat and GDV
-Cardiac Arrest
The class will consist of a short presentation and hands-on training with props and a state-of-the-art simulator! Learn to control major bleeding, open your dog’s airway, perform CPR, and help a choking animal.
First aid kits for dogs will also be discussed.

USMS Deputy Trauma Course
