Proper planning starts with recognizing and analyzing risks. This course
will cover the importance of the risk assessment process to hazmat
response training. Attendees will learn how to incorporate the results of
their hazmat risk assessment into hazmat training design and
development. After completing this course, they will be able to identify
key resources to help complete the assessment at the local, regional,
and/or state level.

DATEJune 30, 2026-December 18, 2026Tuesday and Thursday 6p-10p and Saturdays (8a-4p) CLASS DESCRIPTION & INFORMATIONThe District 1 Fire Academy consists of initial firefighter training that will include state certifications in Hazardous Material Awareness/Operations, Firefighter I/II and all state required curriculum to function as a firefighter in the state of Indiana.Participants must have municipal department sponsorship and full gear with SCBA’s.
