Training Areas:
Two Story Residential Structure
The 2,100 sq. ft. structure replicates a single-family home with an open concept design with living, dining, kitchen, laundry, bedrooms and study on the first floor and with a loft and bedrooms on the second floor. The structure can be used for search & rescue, ladders, ventilation, hose work and various law enforcement and EMS scenarios.
Additional training options for law enforcement include room searches, force on force training, and non-lethal training ammunition use. The windows in the structure have removable protective covers to reduce visibility and protect the windows from the use of non-lethal training ammunition which allows the instructor to vary the conditions in the structure.
The structure has also been outfitted with different types of K9 drug hiding locations that have been installed in various walls along with various pieces of furniture. Additional capabilities have been added such as lockers and moveable outlets that have magnets attached and can be located anywhere in the building. A pair of floor registers can also be moved from room to room as needed. There is attic access for K9s to train with and an additional attic to train within the Tactical Building. The K9 can use the second floor of this building, and the wall system can close and open the second floor.
