CLASS DESCRIPTION & INFORMATION
The District 1 Fire Academy consists of initial firefighter training that will include
state certifications in Hazardous Material Awareness/Operations, Firefighter I/II and
all state required curriculum to function as a firefighter in the state of Indiana.
Participants must have municipal department sponsorship and full gear with
SCBA’s.
A minimum of 80% attendance throughout the Academy is required to be
eligible for testing.
Graduation – June 19th 6:00PM

Full PPE and SCBA required; OSHA facial hair policies will be enforced.
