CLASS DESCRIPTION & INFORMATION
This course is for Driver Operator General, Driver Operator Pumper, Aerial, and
Mobile Water Supply and meet all NFPA 1002 standards. Students should register
for the “General” class (link below). The General certification if required for all
additional D/O certifications. Registration for Pumper, Mobile Water Supply and
Aerial will be coordinated on the first night of class.
Students will receive a driver’s log to complete driver’s training at their home
departments as pre-course work.

DATEJune 30, 2026-December 18, 2026Tuesday and Thursday 6p-10p and Saturdays (8a-4p) CLASS DESCRIPTION & INFORMATIONThe District 1 Fire Academy consists of initial firefighter training that will include state certifications in Hazardous Material Awareness/Operations, Firefighter I/II and all state required curriculum to function as a firefighter in the state of Indiana.Participants must have municipal department sponsorship and full gear with SCBA’s.
