CLASS DESCRIPTION & INFORMATION
Students will be broken into companies and taught about pitched and flat roof ventilation. All topics will be covered from building construction, roof access, low visibility conditions, roof issues, along with saw maintenance and care. Afternoon session will end with real time scenarios allowing students to put their skills to use. Class will be based around the premise that all Students will have at least 4 opportunities to perform Ventilation Cuts.

DATEJune 30, 2026-December 18, 2026Tuesday and Thursday 6p-10p and Saturdays (8a-4p) CLASS DESCRIPTION & INFORMATIONThe District 1 Fire Academy consists of initial firefighter training that will include state certifications in Hazardous Material Awareness/Operations, Firefighter I/II and all state required curriculum to function as a firefighter in the state of Indiana.Participants must have municipal department sponsorship and full gear with SCBA’s.
