Fire Science Lesson at the MAAC 5-20-26

We got a fire science lesson today at the MAAC, courtesy of the very knowledgeable Nathan Calabrese! He demonstrates how combustible dust and fine particles can rapidly ignite and create intense pressure inside a confined space. Using coffee creamer and a custom-built demonstration box created by our facilities team, the experiment shows just how quickly a flash fire and pressure event can occur! (The burnt coffee creamer smelled like delicious cooked marshmallows)
