Winter 2026 Volunteer Fire Academy Week 21

Week 21 of the District 1 Volunteer Fire Academy focused on fire inspections and drafting operations.
This week, recruits learned how investigators document what they document and how to walk into a scene and know what to look for. They also practiced drafting operations, learning how to establish a water supply from ponds, lakes, and other sources when hydrants aren’t available, which can often be the case in rural environments.
