Winter 2026 Volunteer Fire Academy Week 14

This week in the District 1 Volunteer Fire Academy, Carl and his classmates took on dumpster fires and vehicle fires! Using the MAAC’s specialized training props, including a steel vehicle and dumpster, recruits practiced safe, effective suppression techniques in controlled but realistic conditions. This hands on training helps students learn how fire behaves in confined metal spaces, how to approach safely, and how to work as a coordinated team under pressure. Training like this is exactly what the MAAC Foundation is all about!
